i got it to work, again. What you need to do is put one install on one harddrive, and one install on another harddrive. might even work by putting them in separate root folders, not sure didnt want to spend 20 mins waiting for files to copy to try to figure that out. lmao

currently on 2nd launch and its still working. my process was sign in all the way on alt account, close process, then finally sign in on main account where i normally log in. not sure if it makes a difference. good luck.

update all you have to do to make sure you dont get the error i was referring to earlier is make sure your multiple copies of the game folders are not in the same root. example i had both d2r folders named something else, inside of my D: root. i put one in C: root one in D: root and one in D:/diablo2 all named the exact same thing, and it works flawlessly now.

this would probably let you do it all from one drive.

You don't need multiple drives, just a different install folder. Close battle.net client after you're logged into the game, then run the d2 launcher from the next folder and it will prompt you to login to the client with the next acc.

Been using it since day 1 and no ban yet.

Concern about this method is that the handle youre killing is directly related to Warden, so when/if Warden does a scan of your software/hard drive (which it 100% does, read up on some of the Warden updates earlier this year), it'll be easy to detect if players are altering this process.

Warden should just kick you out then. There’s no way they ban you for a process being killed. That would result in an insane amount of false flags.
