Viable as ladder starter?

I ran P8 chaos runs in pubs with my blood boil warlock last season with a teleport staff, just loaded up on gold, recharged every run while getting pots, and went until I was out of gold
it actually worked pretty well
I'd say you could very easily get an ondals or leaf, measured wrath, authority, +3 circlet, magefist and some +skills ammy
Should already put you into pretty lethal blood boil + summon tainted when you just snag a TZ cursed holy freeze venom lord, but you'll need to secure some +skills items just to reach +19 bind demon which actually is a bit of a hurdle, rewards picking up extra skillers
you really NEED that amp damage demon to deal with fire immunes on a ladder starter, because blood boil and summon tainted with just a shitty fire sunder and no conviction aura will deal barely anything
