But I thought dupes didn't exist. How could this be?

And yet here we are.

It was wishful thinking on our side. Every game can be broken, eventually.

I think we're beyond taking a plea agreement. Fucker was caught, denied it, and made people go through the red tape while feigning innocence.
OF COURSE the enigma's were obtained off JSP, and of course he is the real victim here.
It's laughable. Maybe most people are kind of stupid, but he's not as smart as he thinks.

im aware. I asked for a refund DAYS ago. I just want my 3000fg.

Full transparency. I just want my 3000fg back. This isnt a trivial amount for me.

Really unfortunate that this happened. If I found out items that I bought and re-sold vanished, especially something as egregious and suspect as 10 identical Enigmas, I'd have refunded the gold on Day 1.

The defensive, dismissive, and avoidant behavior by Chobot in his posts following the event is very suspect. I mean, the guy started inserting pictures of inventories full of mass HR's in between non-sensical rrhetoric about the events. Not exactly reassurring and kind of an antisocial response given what he's accused of.

Instead of refunding the gold as soon as they became aware of the issue, they told victims to "talk to JSP" about it. There was no effort to remediate the issue immediately, just tossing people over to JSP as if the problem was someone else's. Follow-up attitude was also giving zero ****s about people affected, and hostilility to people who asked questions on the forum about the issue.

Assuming their story is true, there were so many other ways to respond to these events, including showing remorse early on. One of their responses to a user who PM'ed them immediately after their Enigma poofed was "lol what did you do?".

Zero ****s given.

He isn't refunding shit.

Dude is arguing with mods to find a way to weasel his way out of selling obviously known dupes.

This is why you don't do trades with trans weirdos.

Well said
He is basicly asking jsp who is going to refund him if he has to refund others. Leaving the decision up to jsp and every other further consequence. He is an absolute shithead for trying to put the responsibility away from himself. Same shit goes for „he would have refunded the fg if his gold wasnt locked“ just f you, you will probably spend or transfer your fg as soon as its unlocked

I mean, while we don’t know with 100% certainty it seems highly likely the dude knew they were dupes.

1. The dude had a bunch of enigmas that are identical in every way. Weird.
2. Proceeded to pm folks trade offers as opposed to posting a thread so nobody could ask questions on defense rolls that could lead to suspicion. Hmm…
3. Conducted all of his trades from a single game so as he didn’t have to leave. Side note, leaving a game and rejoining another with unperm items can cause them to poof.

Throw in his conduct and the fact that he’s trolling mods and it’s hard to draw other conclusions. Idk if jsp feels they have enough to lock him, still probably will. But I guess we’ll see.

I think anybody who lost an enigma should be thanking Cho for showing them a true Diablo 2 experience.

yeah this dude had 0 problems making trades with official posts even as recent as 10/15 and then all of a sudden, hes pming multiple people taking less than market value for multiple Enigmas with the same stats. 0 oversight, 100% sussyboi. I don't believe his bullshit for a second and its so OBVIOUS. He one of those dumbshit criminals that have that "catch me if you can" mentality and its actually pathetic that he thinks he has outsmarted the community. Duping, botting, spoofing, i dont care, as that shit has always been around, but if you got caught scamming redhanded, just be a man, own your shit and refund the gold. lol, reading his responses, guy must be REAL fun to be friends with lol. Is this Sherlock enough for him? Is this Basement enough for him? lol what a chub.
