ah ok thx, makes me want to use eschutas even more now due to the facet's -res being valuable even with infinity per 1/5 effect

[eschutas w/ infini] 95 - 17(infinity) - 25(griff) - 10(2os) = 43res
[hoto w/ infini] 95 - 17 - 25 - 5(1os) = 48res

VS

[eschutas w/o infinity] 95 -35 = 60 res
[hoto w/o infinity] 95 -30 = 65 res

so 57/52 === 9.6% dmg increase using eschutas over hoto WITH infinity
so 40/35 === 14.28% dmg increase using eschutas over hoto WITHOUT infinity

So someone correct me if im wrong but a 10 or 14% dmg increase seems more valuable than 30-40res , 20 rep, and increases max mana(im not ES)

Admittedly my lightning resistance is low, but with hoto i have a lot of extra res for cold/fire/psn

I could see the res from hoto being valuable when you get -res debuffs

crescent isnt an option cuz i wanna do 200fcr even if its not meta(doing nova cuz i like the playstyle, it was buffed, and fcr increase = dmg increase for a build like this imo) - goal is to kill stuff fast

I use a 3/20/28 light eschuta with a 5/-5 facet. It gives me 2k more lighting damage and an extra -5 res. The 28 intellect gives me 6 more mana than the 15% mana from hoto. The 10 dex on hoto can kick rocks and nobody uses oak in pvm.

It really comes down to more damage vs more res, and my res is maxed anyway.

I tend to agree with this and its good to know that 15% mana is trash...

your resists don't matter much with high level ES, except for poison. Otherwise yes, overstacking is nice, especially for CS runs.

Lower res in chaos takes away 55 res from you. I don’t care to overstack enough to compensate for something that happens that infrequently but I have pretty gg gear so I never die in chaos. The only thing I ever rarely die from is exploding dolls if I get too sloppy doing baal runs.

I want to see what I can accomplish without an infinity before later getting one, assuming it stacks and I get the full benefit? does it? outside facets and infintiy I cant lower the -res further , making the socket very valuable?

Thoughts on this? what would you do? is this going to suck without infinity? Aside from bosses, everything is melting and i dont even have skillers yet
