blizzard added TWO new IPs to NA region (not sure if Euro and Asia have these too, was reported Euro has 2 separated IPs too)

but anyway. We now have a 88 and a 188 on NA region. So if u lauch d2 and log onto bnet while goin into 88... ur friend being in 188 ... u 2 cant join/play together/trade

so to counter this ... one of u have to just log out of bnet... log back in... and wait thru queues line... and then see if u guys both got into the same IP Lobby. These IP is separate from the games itself ... so imagine 88 is us west, and 188 is us east

they literally JUST snaked this bullshit in yesterday.
it DEFINTELY has combat and helped to cut down queues time cause im now always like around maybe 3 person in line... but it essentially fucked the entire community in itself cause now trading and playin with friends just added a new layer of BS to jump over

I was just thinking that - added to target the queue times.
This part is a good thing. Waiting 45 mins to log in really sucked, above all else.

I suppose if this is an unintended byproduct of reducing queue times, we can work around it. Still sucks though. Hopefully they fix it.

but it has screwed alot of people over because u might have logged into the "bad" ip lobby that has no players LOL. Ive noticed one usually is more empty then the other.

with one guy we were in the same region, I join a pub game and for him it's unavailable

im not sure which one i preferred more honestly. sometimes the queue times were really bad but this penalty refreshing every little fuckup is kinda overdoing it

That would also explain why this morning (12 hrs ago for me) the servers were unavailable again? Couldn't get the 'Authentication' server to work. Saw lots of posts on this on the discussion forums too, many people had this problem. This may have been when they added the IPs?
