This sounds sexist AF but it's just a fact: A lot of game devs that gets relatively new-hire female leadership soon becomes full-stop pay-shops because they're usually only hired in these leadership roles due to their monetary track record.

ESO's the main example I'm thinking of, others are small-time. Of course there are exceptions, like the AWESOME Lisa Wang.
