you're also over thinking your merc. the setups you proposed will perform so similar the differences will be more or less negligible.
keep his attack speed up for quicker amp procs. and maybe hustle armor for the r/w if you dont teleport frequently.

I did actually have some visionary/ll circ laying around. Might check out how much that changes!


Goes from 47/69/66 Normal/Bash/Stun on tzone Lister to 63/75/73. Sizeable difference for his normal attack and moderate for the others but better than nothing.

Something to note is that the Bash a5 uses his normal attack much less frequently than the Frenzy version with a rate of 23/35/35/7 Normal/Bash/Stun/Battle Cry chance so boosting his awful normal attack chance to hit helps its not as important as Frenzy who really wants the hits to land to start the ramp.

I haven't tested how reliable it is on the long term, but i believe Jah would actually be a significant improvement when jumping from pack to pack.
You would of course still need some source of AR to handle champ packs, and isolated uniques.
Against those, you can reach around 75% CTH with Demon Limb alone (against very high def mobs, such as uber Meph).
Demon Limb obviously has its drawback, but then AR on gear is no longer an issue at all, which is a very good point, especially when it comes to survivability.
At least that's the next thing i'll try if i ever give the Dreadfang merc another chance some day.

Just tp onto packs they proc quite a bit, I used this set up to get to 99 on my ww barb already huge game changer. I use a protector stone in a perfect eth fang. I use cham arreats no issues with an eth fort also have an eth coh if I need more res

dont you get annoyed by the battle cry cast that ruin everything? I really wanted to like the dreadfang, but ended up using the old reaper with better results (for me at least).

When i first saw dread fang on paper i was like thats teh ultimate merc weapon for number of physical builds.. not using it on any of them...
Unfortunately, Blizzard are focused on the out of the D2 universe Warlock balancing and some hypster bullshits. Perhaps next new char will be The Incredible Hulk or Captain America with mastery giving 20% chance to atomic bombing the entire act...

there are so many more fixes that need to be done...
- removing battle cry from bash merc is one of them... it just interrupt any other curse
- same story for druid's ravens... unusable since they remove decrep or amp all the time
- very very limited usage of the protector's stone since most of the builds i can think of are forced to use runewords and ias jewels for reaching bp. cant think of a single weapon (beside windforce, but then again it messing up all the bp) where the jewel would shine... any eth version of the same weapon would be better with zod/runeword
- barbarians are just pathetic... while the skills are ok, dmg output, or better yet, the speed to deliver the damage should be better. whatever you do in the end you HAVE to use grief which is a grief. make no sense 2h weapon to end up dishing out less dmg than the 33 base dmg grief. if 2h speed was 8fpa with 2handers than it would be a bit better. not to mention that barbs are forced to use swords... they might as well remove all the non-sword masteries and put clickable links to facebook or your local tax authorities so you can do your taxes while playing with your grief
- shape druids... i get it that maul charges increase dmg, thas ok, thats how it was created, but why they have to include ias for maul charges? you can get OCD to keep the charges up, once you loose them you must do 20++ successful hits to reach the speed you wanted... Nobel price for the guy who invented this awesome feature! Obedience runeword scream Fire Claws... unfortunately, unplayable character from the past...

can keep going and going but whats teh point.. they castrated ES but created another abomination in the form of Tainted where all you have to do is just keep pressed teleport and wank with the other hand while the 3 summons clear everything in seconds... blah, perhaps i should go and buy one of these t-shirts "I don't belong here"

You know what's more badass act5 merc playing hardcore. You can look down on everyone else using an act2 merc.
