Some people do use hoto, but the most popular options are:
SS
phoenix
SB/wiz
6x ist/Lem
ali baba

I do like hoto on a more casual build that reach 63fcr and don't constantly have to swap to tele at 105 or hork with more mf/gf
+3 skill is still a minor dmg increase and potentially +1% find item
it's not optimal, but definitely a good option that gives a bit of everything for someone who want to keep it simple and not have to press w all the time

Wizzy - 10% more fcr, more resists, mana
Gull - budget 6 Ist cs
6 Lem - gold find

Hoto is a great general use but if you're after what it does then Wizzy does it all better at the cost of +3 skills, which is an easy trade especially if you hork on swap.
