I think they will leave it as a spell which won't use durability but you can't use a 2h weapon together with a shield. You need to use a book when also using a 2h weapon (like suggested by mrllama).
And I also think they will add hit check boxes and additionaly lower skill damage.
For bind demon I guess they will drastically lower their survivability...

ES' pierce chance should function as hard points put into levitation mastery, up to 66%. By adding this almost prereq for the build, it now requires 80 points and forces much more difficult decisions when deciding where to place the other points, instead of the current "have your cake and eat it too" setup.

Just don't go min max on eth weapon like spending 500fg+ on the base. Whatever nerf comes, it won't hurt as u only lose at most a Lo rune

id rather they just make the game harder
