She was more meant to go LK but at that point feels pretty unnecessary when you already have Infy Griffs... and also pointless on multiplayer especially when already have those key items.
I still enjoy my super fast teleport casting and that's all that matters.
Enjoy your 105 fcr, it is still better than the best frames of almost every char, I'll stick to 200 fcr just for the mastelebation

Fire very viable for ladder starts, I would argue its just as good as blizzard if not better (definitely better on controller)

You dont even need to break fire immunes. Farming andy/meph, countess (merc kills), and cows is already plenty to gear up

Nova sucks until you are past the infinity level of gear

If you are baaling then there are souls so nova not as good. Light sorc better then

After reading through everything, I think I won’t go for a Nova Sorc (at least for now), but instead build a Lightning Sorc. Seems like the safer and more consistent option for CS and general TZ farming.

I’m planning to give Chaos Sanctuary a proper try later today and see how it feels – hopefully my first smooth Diablo kill with a new setup. Only Baalruns bored me very fast.

Also worth mentioning: I’m playing on Steam Deck, so the whole playstyle/comfort is a bit different. But it’s still nice.

Curious to see how it performs, and I’ll report back.

fire is fine early but falls off hard in cs/tz because of immunes, you’ll always feel it there

if you want something consistent without overthinking it, just go blizzard. it clears cs well enough, handles tz fine and doesn’t need expensive gear to feel good

lightning is the best scaling option but only really comes online with infinity. before that it’s just worse than cold in most cases

nova/es is strong but more of a specific playstyle, not something i’d recommend if you’re just getting back into the game. it needs proper setup to not feel bad

there isn’t really a “best” build, it’s just gear dependent. low/mid gear → blizzard. high gear → lightning

fire is mostly a niche farmer, not something you’d pick for cs long term

Hydra sorc does all content including ubers easy.

shes fun and pretty fast boss killer as well as general mfer and can do all content.

Endgame Lightning Sorc looking to optimize performance.

Current setup: Hoto, CoH, Spirit Monarch, Griffon’s, Arachnid Mesh, Magefist, Waterwalk, Raven Frost + rare ring, and Tal Rasha amulet, with CTA on switch. Mercenary is running Infinity (stays), Andariel’s Visage, and Goldskin. Sitting at around ~21K Lightning damage with strong overall DPS and able to clear most content comfortably. Chaos Sanctuary is definitely doable, but not as fast and smooth as expected for this level of gear.

Main issue right now is noticeable mana sustain problems, especially when spamming Chain Lightning in CS, which slows down runs due to potion usage and occasional downtime.

Looking for advice on further min-maxing:
- How impactful is stacking more -enemy lightning resistance (e.g. Rainbow Facets in Griffon’s/armor)?
- Would this significantly improve CS clear speed compared to current setup?
- What are the best upgrades or adjustments to make Chaos Sanctuary runs faster and smoother overall?
