how are you hitting 125 fcr with it?

was gonna say, there is 15fcr to be made up there somewhere if you want 9frame casting. and spirit will give more res than hoz, so you may loose some pcombs for res charms. idk.

hellwarden + arachnid/gheed20 + trang = 60fcr
void/hoto = 40fcr
You need 25fcr from amu + ring slots.

I dont think I would want to sacrifice a soj/bk and mara to run hoz over spirit. But maybe?

Lack of mana for teleport is more annoying to me than not having mara. The fcr ring has to be sling of course. 1 x soj + sling + 15fcr amu could be a compromise.

unless you get a stupid good craft fcr ammy, maras normally yields more life and bo duration.

Any 125fcr hoz setup will sacrifice some survivability for damage. You’ll lose the 10dr from shako along with life and some plus all skills. But you’ll do more damage. So kinda up to each person what’s most valuable.

heres another variant i just tossed together to see...

wasnt sure what to do with gloves, so i went with horazons since they are a bit of a dead slot if you get 20fcr from hellwardens, and can do without mages/trangs.
im thinking the ton of dex you get will make for alot of life, since maxblock will be easy to hit. could do something like chanceguards + waterwalks too. have to room to play here.
horazons boots will give cannot be frozen and magic res., and opens up getting alot of dex paired with the set gloves.

-18% hellwardens with guardians light
void
engima
mara
spirit st
horazons gloves - for life and dex (would be necessary to stay with mages/trangs until you get a perf 20fcr from gheeds belt)
-5% sling
-7% gheeds belt
bk ring
horazons boots

torch/anni/gheeds
-10% black cleft
pcomb lifers

a2 prayer merc
eth cure
eth coh
eth insight

125fcr / max block / 4.5klife / 21.5k hammer dmg , but this build will have -40% enemy magic res. so ya, alot more damage than my current "perfected" setup which would have 21k hammers and -25%

also note, both builds have similar life totals, even without shako, so im guessing the added dex from this variant makes up the difference. horazons gloves give both life and alot of dex. alot...
and this leaves me wondering, if an hdin isnt using mages or trangs, what would be bis for gloves...

and when it comes to hoz, i have a hard time believing the additional +2 to pcombs (approx. 1k dmg) is worth more than 35fcr. maybe go hoz if we had magic facets for another -%5, but we dont.


tldr, from a dmg perspective...

void > hoto
hellwardens > shako
gheeds > arach

I wonder how you reach same life with this setup.
Horazon gloves give up to 15 dex, that is virtually +45 life, and they give up to 40 life. That is 85 life.
Dex on horazon boots is up to 15 which is same as waterwalks but losing up to 65 life.
So you lose about 120 life compared to waterwalks + shako setup.
You gain 2 dex from void, and 12 vita, that is 36 life, going to about 85 life lost.
Also losing -2 skills on BO from shako to hellwardens and arachs to gheeds.
Either my calcs are terribly wrong or you should have about 200 less life or something of that kind. Not a big bummer when sitting at 4k+ but enough to be mentioned since you said you get the same life. I must have missed something here. Oh reading again I see you say "similar" I guess that is why x)

From -25 to -40 with same pure dmg, same BPs and similar life sounds like a good setup to look into for sure.

And on the BiS gloves for Hdin I guess we would come back to the PvP big player Bloodfists ? Maybe ?

i dont think ill go with hellwardens, too much of a sacrifice given what a shako offers, but i think ill replace my arach with a gheeds belt.
i can sneak in another -7% and lose +1 to all skills.
