Is highlord actually that good compared to other options?

I was looking at d2 planner and insight + levitation mastery gives a total of 75% chance for double damage, whereas with highlords' it goes to 83% on a lvl 99 char.

is this calculation correct? and if so is this 8% more acutally better than, lets say a mara that helps reaching 75 all res?

Arachnid and bk rings to push plus all skills so the oskill critical strike from insight approaches or exceeds 90%, also make sure that the critical strike on your Insight is +6 that's way more important than the Ed or meditation aura. Then you can swap that amulet to to mara or FCR

Tldr 6 crit insight, go 125fcr, get as many plus all skills as possible

Pride is definitely a massive damage increase but is considerably more expensive than shoring up the above

Base of your Insight does and doesn't matter, the archon staff will give more consistent damage but it's average damage is the same as the CV. Honestly that's the last thing I would worry about

Mara’s is a fine option, but you can always boost res with charm, you can’t add DS. Also the going idea is to not max levitation mastery, instead maxing blood oath and dumping into levitation mastery later, so you won’t have as much chance through that. IMO a 2/20 amulet would be the best fit opening up your gloves to Lay of Hands instead of Trangs.

Definitely, Max Blood Oath and put extra points into demon mastery to run two defilers for better AOE

Consume is decent early game when you need the damage, but you should be at the point where damage is plentiful, and spreading it around Plus qol will do much more for you

Alright update: I got my enigma and Arach's. I'm at 120fcr with Spirit/trangs/insight/10fcr ring. Will Hellwarden's be really the best to get next? It would set me over the FCR breakpoint and free up my ring slots, but FCR aside, why is it so good? Is it the IAS and MAEK that help this build a lot? I know the -magic and fire res are probably irrelevant

The +1 and FCR. Coven is good too. but obviously can’t Um it for more resists.

A 2/20 circlet would be ideal but they’re very expensive right now with any decent mods.
