Obsession always seems like BIS in my mind, haven’t gotten to mess with it too much yet, just got one. Easy 125 breakpoint, incredible res, both of which opens up a lot of wiggle room to tweak. 65 + 20 Arach + at least 20 on helm/circlet is 105 guaranteed. This lets you go maybe Phoenix for damage or even Stormshield for extra hardiness? Lets you use Lay on Hands easily. Land a 2/20 or 3/20 amulet and it’s all open to BK rings, etc.

Just throwing shit out there but it seems like the highest flexibility.

I am using eth archon obsession + phoenix and I have absolutely the same killing speed at p8 tz96 as thunder maul forti or insight or whatever. Easy 125 fcr, easy max resistance, huge life, 60 fhr only from obsession^^

And second best way is insight archon ofc.

The answer is simple because ultimately you’re one shotting regardless of what you use.

Do you want big dps on the char sheet? Or max utility in the way of fcr, resistances, fhr etc.

The latter? Obsession, or insight. The former? Ebotd is the technical highest char sheet dps you can get I believe, but many people obviously go fortitude because it strikes a balance between the utility and char sheet damage.
