Nope, more like skill issue. I did 30-40 back to back. The problematic part was farming rejuvs for the runs.

That's how I operate in hc. You need to go to town first before exiting the game otherwise you might die.

Even with 75% lightning resist, each of his 29 bolts does 1-120.5 dmg. Face tanking 29 of those is 29 to 3494.5 dmg.
Tgods absorbs 20. With 75% resist, tanking 29 will be -580 to 2320 dmg. The average dmg isn't intuitive though. It's ~700 dmg.

I noticed that you are using conviction aura. I prefer using Resist Lightning Aura instead. 20 Hard points will get you +10% passive max resist (and 20% active) and at lvl 23 you get +135% resist. At 95% resist, face tanking those 29 is 0-700 dmg. An avg of 350 dmg.
Conviction helps you take less dmg from the skeletons (mephy doesnt really use anything but lightning if you are up close). But if you have grief, you will be able to outheal any dmg they do while using resist lightning. I haven't tested it while using black or other runewords, so I'm not sure about those scenarios. But a dwarf star and ravenfrost should take care of the fire and cold dmg...
