If you push your noDrop% from 62.5% on p1 to 14.29% on p7/1, while you can also effectively clear faster and more continuously on a S tier build made for density destroying on high player count… then this 1.5:1 ratio is easily reversed the other way around.

This is how I would roughly estimate the potential profit/10, based on infinite amount of game time to exclude RNG:

S tier density destroyers on p7/1
10/10

A tier density destroyers on p7/1
9/10

B tier density destroyers on p7/1
8/10

S tier density destroyers on p3/1
8/10

Hoker on p1
7.5/10

A tier density destroyers on p3/1
7/10

B tier density destroyers on p3/1
6/10

S tier elite/boss sniper on p1
6/10 -> but 10/10 early ladder

S tier density destroyers on p1
5/10

A tier density destroyers on p1
4/10

B tier density destroyers on p1
3/10

Casual noob doing random shit

The build tier are not the same form p1 to p8.
For example, a javazon may be S tier on p8, but it’s overkill dmg for p1 and drops a lot due to it’s slower fcr, jav management and lesser QoL.

The addition of the warlock has actually increased the potential profit of the horker.
The phenomenon where the vast majority of people playing locks has turned other builds cheaper to make while also slightly increasing the total number of uniques worth finding, slowly shifting the profit ratio between bases and uniques. And the offer/demand ratio was also in favor of non-locks.
Sling, opalvein, gheeds wager, helwarden, the grimmoires, as well as some old uniques like mang song that are now much more valuable.
Playing a barb this ladder (if you knew you would p1) was a very good idea profit-wise.
Maybe less next season, depends on next patch.

The meta is slowly shifting as full terrorized game clears become more relevant.
Huge aoe dmg shines, while also putting an asterisk next to some builds who could struggle to deal with T5 heralds.

Mosaic is gone on ladder.
Nova still feels top and can manage to kill t5.
Java is questionable due to having worse times clearing easier early acts areas (overkill dmg, slower fcr) and full clear means less towning = more trouble to manage javs quantity.
Light sorc is going up a bit cuz chain light can be good in the early acts, while lightning can blast elites of a4-5.

But then warlocks…
Blood Boil is #1 (above nova)
Echo is good, easiest time against heralds but far from the clear speeds of BB for general density. Top of S tier on budget, bottom of S tier on high end.
Fire is not S, at least not on p8.

Some builds honestly depend heavily on the player’s mechanics.
Some other builds on the player’s knowledge.
Hard to come up with a definitive list.
