it's all downhill from here my dude. The writing was on the wall with that stupid 'survey' they pushed out. A game designed based on internet survey data is doomed to fail, and also shows you just how talentless modern devs are. lol

Everyone's allowed an opinion, even if its wrong. They kept the servers up and running for D2 legacy with zero ads, microtransactions or monthly subscription fees for 20+ years, and D2R servers for 5. Not buying it is your choice, but I fail to see how D2R is the breadwinner for blizzard when Immortal and D4 exists or how it's "woke" or whatever brainrot buzzwords you used.

This. Games used to be extremely difficult to make and those who did were mainly in it for passion and being extremely good in an industry with no clear guidance. Now the average bottom GPA programmer guided by AI slop tools is having a crack and the reason why modern gaming feels soulless

Even botters are suffering. They'd like to buy initial gear to speed up the process but no one is farming or selling anything there. Even worse in hc, they rely on leveling them up to a certain level themselves, then gearing them for full automation. There is no gear and if they let them run by themselves they die
So much for farming in expansion then convert to RotW. Mass converting mules with uniques made them very easy to flag by Blizzard.

I’ve been watching it pretty closely. It varies between 6-9x ratio of expansion to RotW SCNL.

I hate to admit it but expansion is on its death bed after just a few weeks and it’s likely only going to get worse. There will be some hold outs but I think the final nail in the coffin will be when RotW ladder season two starts, everyone will convert what NL expansions characters they have left over to RotW NL so that everything is in one spot. Few people are going to maintain gear and characters over multiple versions of the game.

I just got on bnet to check what games are up on expansion SCNL:
Baal runs: 1 (2 players)
chaos runs: 1 (1 player)
cow runs: 0
duel games: 1 (7 player)
Terror zones runs: 0

Might as well just be playing offline at this point.
