Inb4 ban for OP

But in all seriousness I play hardcore and go max block on almost every char as long as I’m using a shield that helps in that regard. I’d never do max block on a spirit for instance.

On softcore id never go max block except on a hammerdin.

the only damage that matters is the stuff that can actually kill you
de seis mobs, stygian dolls, black souls, dark archers, etc

There is plenty of reason to go for max block / max dr / tgods / wisp / dwarf / hotspurs if you want the tankiest pvm build possible that won't die when you disconnect
ie someone going for 99 HC

only regarded people play hc, with shitty blizzard server I'll never play hc unless its single player. I'll take my chances as its 75% encounter rate vs 25%, at the end of the day its just math.

You'd never go max block on a palidan with spirit despite holy shield?

for pvm there literally no point having block, 75% of the enemy you encounter are elemental based. so all in vita. pvp max block are needed if you play serious gm duel

Yea but those elemental enemies are also never a real threat. The real threats are the enemies with amp and fanatism or might and stuff like that that 2 tap you, and block comes in really useful there

Still I wouldn’t go block unless playing with a shield with icb

There's only one reason to go max block, HC
