Get a character to act 5, do the quest and quit the game. Find the character save file and open Properties of the charName.d2s file - make the file read only. Read only makes any change you do to the character not save.

Unlimited sox q - Enter the game with that character, take the item from shared stash, use sox quest and put the socketed item back in the shared stash (if you leave the item on the character it will disappear) and exit the game.

Use any of the free editors

You can do that with any d2r hero editor but I'm gonna plug mine just cause I can, even though I haven't updated it in a while.

Or mrllamasc has a singleplayer in game heroeditor where araka sells every rune and then you use pskull antidote or stamina to get any rw or unique.
