I don’t think it happens with runes. I know it happens with sojs. Only happens in your personal stash. Shared stash is ok.

The problem should actually only affect rings and amus as these have a lot of information for a 1-slot item. Bytes/slot = high information density.
Runes should actually be safe.
Best try to mix them 50:50 with low information density items in your stash.
