Fire trapsin is very fast in P8, there's some serious misinformation here

It's obviously slower than mosaic but it's comparable to hammerdin in speed and can keep up with java/nova in groups. Very fast in cows and chaos sanc P8 solo. They basically made it viable after next hit delay was fixed and traps were allowed to benefit from -res

Honestly mosaic is 500x more fun than trapsin

Trapsin presses 1 button and jerks their Weiner with the other hand

Mosaic at least has some action

This. Much faster paced and need to be decent to keep charges up, especially in baal and chaos


It’s even more fun when you are trying to run someone out of terror zones when you are unpartied so you get more exp


That last part was the only thing tht kept me going til 99

I experimented a lot with fire dmg sins and found some of its variations just as good as light traps.
You end up with 21 more free skill points to use (fade, weapon block, clone, mb, kicksin hybrid)

1) pure WoF
2x 3traps / 3wof claws with 2x facets (ideally 40ias main hand GT)
FF
Arach, magefist, 10fcr ring, 15fcr amy (65bp)
You deal a little less dmg than light trap, but hit more mobs simultaneously so the clear speed feels just as good vs packs.

2) WoF / dtail
Same as above, replace 1 claw for phoenix mon
Now you have fast clear speed vs packs, but you can also reach massive dps with dtail to beat the clear speed of a light trapsin, both vs packs and bosses.

3) same as above but dual mosaic (not your usual mosaic tho)
Keep 3 charges of tiger up, your dtail now instantly kills anything (you can reach ~600k dps over 4yd radius)
You also have pretty good WoF dmg to clear scattered packs and/or clear 1 pack while you dtail another

#1 is better than light in low player count, but a bit weaker above /p4
#2 feels just as good at all player counts, but it requires a more active gameplay. With leech and phoenix you dont need pots at all.
#3 well its another way to abuse mosaic… but imo its more fun and you dont get blinded by fireworks and the sound is less annoying than dtalon.

If wof shot more times before it vanished it would be fun but it’s super annoying how often they have to be recast
