After the FoH buff in D2R, it's now a proper end-game build where you can afford to use hammers to eliminate whatever is not damaged by your FoH.

Then you use FoH for density clears where applicable, and hammers for single-target and/or Foh-immune enemies. This is faster than pure hammers.

Hybrid has most dps

With gg gear hdin > foh for high player count
Foh’s lack of dmg comes from the delay between each foh, this delay can be filled with hammers for the highest dmg output among hdin/foh/hybrid

i did this exercise before, and you get very similar numbers but much higher qol if you just self conc aura (skip vigor) and use standard shako + spirit + merc insight

I have no idea how you would sustain mana on your build tho, i dont think there's enough base mana for buffer here.

Yea that's my idea for TZ plus some TZ make it difficult to spread hammers properly due to obstacles in the evironment/walls in which case foh can lay down some good aoe dmg and you can pick off stragglers with hammers.

I also find it more fun to play since there's more opportunity to maximize dps with proper skill rotation and you can practice chaining foh into hammer stomps for a bit a pvp mechanic practice.

from 5k to 6k dmg on foh bolts is a decent dmg increase too even though hammer dmg is only slightly higher

ive only just finished the build and run it a few times and mana is fine except in the cases where you have to tele long distances in which case you'd have to drink a mana potion. I dont mind popping a pot occasionally myself since i'm used to it from pvp but i can see how that would be a friction point. This is more of a niche build for people that really want to min/max clear speed imo. I hate lvling so i try to do it as quickly as possible on any build i use

Also I only included the bare bones of the build, there is room to use mana on charms, amulet and fcr ring for a larger base mana which should make it more comfortable. You could even throw a sapphire or 2 into the circ on the hoto setup since res isn't really an issue on this build.

For me it basically saves the entire class, because I'm afraid of brain damage when playing pure Hammers :D FoH makes it much more bearable.

My personal fav setup is this :

Self conc, no vigor
86fcr : it gives same numbers of foh + hammer cuz it takes 16 frames to cast 1 of each no matter if you have 125 or 86fcr (you lose 1 frame on tele, but it make it possible to have much higher dps by using hoz and +6 scepter)

Merc with insight + cure so you dont ever need to use pots

It has better QoL and higher dps than what was suggested so far.

I just put that into maxroll and the dps is significantly less than the builds listed even if you use a 2/3/3/3/10fcr scepter which would be very significantly more expensive than the one listed in my build

Guess I will have to make a log in for maxroll for it to save properly. It was about 4k dps difference on hammers
