Rare weapons have Fools mod, of course it’s gonna win. It’s got way higher hit chance than the pathetic -12.5 on Grief.

Most monsters in the game don’t have defense like these Melee duelers have. So even if Grief hits harder, you’re not getting hits off, its useless.
