Why does the Maxxroll guide suggest Guardians Light and not Protectors Stone?
Afaik even a 10/10 Guardians Light doesnt compare with the %ed from Protectors.
What am i missing here?

you deal 100% magic dmg

this means you do not benefit at all from the -x% DR, but also the protector stone ed% is bugged if not socketed in a weapon, and grief is by far BiS (you can't socket RWs)

Say you attack a mob with 25% magic res.
You deal 75% of your dmg to him.
With -10% magic now you deal 85%
85/75= 13.3% dmg increase

protector stone only gives you 10min, 30max dmg
that's it.

well, i assumed the ed works, so i guess there is no real comparison here.
What about the sander? Better use a black cleft or a bone break?
Only doing Trav runs so 0magic res mostly

bone break is for phys dmg
so that's a very strange question you're asking there
think about it for a second

some low bonus ed% on top of your already very high total ed/str is nothing compared to multiplying your total dmg with -res

edit:
+% magic does not work with berserk tho
so ofc if you can't get a -% magic sunder, then bone break with +ed% would be your 2nd best option
it's just not as good

yes the ed% on bone break works

but like I said, some lil extra ed% on top of your already high total ed% from gear/skills/str is not as good as -% magic res

the protector stone is bugged cuz it's adding min/max dmg at the same time as ed% on your non-weapon items, it's a well known bug, but it's still good enough to use when you deal phys dmg. Not on a zerk barb tho.

No.

+% magic dmg does NOT work with berserk.

You need a -10 +x jewel
and a -10 sunder
