I was looking into maybe a steam deck so I could also play at work but if you have a decent phone you can use that with an app and a Bluetooth controller, can't remember what the app is called but it was only about £10. Might get round to it one day

Gen 1 steam deck I got on launch gets me a few hours of play, not that it’s hard or anything but now that d2r is on steam natively, you don’t have to fuck with proton versions and external launchers to install bnet into steam, it’s brain dead easy to get it up and running.

SteamOS is a banger and they have plenty of great tools to easily get just about any kind of emulation set up as well, highly recommend

I play on Ally when at work.
It’s fine, battery life isn’t god for more than a few runs, but I’ve had mixed results of say 45 mins(have had hour plus etc) if you have a good usbc to power point (cig plug) capable of 65w+ can use that.
I have an inverter in work truck so it’s a non issue for me.

I have a gaming laptop, I want something that’s more portable and I can put down if the job calls

I have the Claw A8 runs perfect, the lobby UI is the same as switch though but if you join a friends game (thats playing via pc) it swaps to the windows lobby so joining games is much better.

Edit: i get about 2-3 hours unplugged
