Bowazon can be very competitive in PvP if built correctly.
The D2R battles field is highly mobile (compared to LoD) with a higher dependence on enigma. IMO walk zons are no longer viable, Telezons are the only real option.

And telezons are expensive. They require hard to find crafted caster amulets and rings. Plus 32020s are not mass duped like there were in LoD and have to be legit found, the variables in the rolls just make them so much more rare than a skill / like GC used by other classes.

Bowazons are just not an entry level character you build on a budget. If you want back for your buck build a hammerdin, smiter, or a sorc.

OP has bigger problems than that. Negative resistance, trash inventory, no faith bow, who knows what skill distribution. I’m not trying to be mean, but I think this is less about amazons being weak and more about understand the mechanics of building a character.

FWIW OP my Zon has 4.8k dmg with enigma and faith gmb. With fort she hits 6k. With merc using pride and might aura she hits 7k+ and that’s 1 point into strafe. If I maxed strafe it would be up around 8k. And that’s a vita built. If I put all my points in dex I would be around 9k. That’s pretty impressive dmg when you are shooting bursts of 10 arrow. I can jump into p8 games and just melt packs of monsters in Terror zones. Not as fast as a javazon but still good enough.

the cast rate for amazon is so slow that the fastest cast rate achievable for a zon is the same as a sorc wearing magefist only. its painful

I would say go for act5 bash merc with the new Dreadfang amp sword

Amp will boost your dmg alot

Yeah, their fcr BPs suck. Luckily they are balanced with other skill that make up for their slow teleport. Keep in mind A Telezon uses teleport to gain mobility and crest distance. It’s different that a pally tele stomping or chain locking targets. And I don’t care how much frw you put a zon, even a Zon with 0% fcr will outrun a run/walk zon.

how is that better than an eth reapers toll on a might merc? thats decrip + might vs amp alone
