I wanna know how squishy is nova sorc with self held infinity in p8 boss & terror zone farming??

Cuz I wanna farm tz and Andy in p8 games can a nova sorc do that?

As long as you have energy shield and a merc with insight, you’ll be fine

Unkillable in most areas

beware of cursed fana extra strong packs

i run 12fhr on all skillers because of this

Here’s what will kill you.

Poison (max res and use cure)

Mana burn

Too many dolls

Blood mana curse from those bird things

Other than that, pretty tanky.

Tricky answer.

In general, ES nova sorcs with proper gear are quite "tanky" in comparison to others but far from invincible. Many champion mobs will be melted by nova before they can eat up your mana pool.

This is also part of the problem. You get comfortable with your ability to absorb damage, become complacent and start tele-stomping mobs without a second thought.

Until you hit a mana burning, aura powered, cursed champion mob that will bitch slap you into oblivion without a second thought.

In p8, its always best to static and tele to the mob leaving a few feet of a gap between you and the mob but close enough where your nova will still reach.

Another thing you need to watch out for is the blood mana curse casted by baal and the harpy or succubus type enemies. This causes your mana consumption to eat your health. This can take you out pretty quickly too if you're not careful.

Poison also ignores ES and hits your life pool directly. Cure on your merc and antidote potions on your belt are an easy way to negate this. Also having a prayer merc is key; when its active, its like having a super healing potion on you constantly.

TLDR: Nova sorcs are the GOAT of sorc builds but far from invincible (debatable if discussing pre-nerfed ES Orb sorc).

Basically only 2 things

Mana burn spirits
Dolls

Which is why I switched to lightning/chain.

Also another negative for nova is baals mana drain. You will not be able to use nova.

With lightning, you can still cast it while baal drains your mana.

Nova is the tankiest and fastest killer in the game, outside of the negatives above. Lightning is just unkillable because your always at a distance.

You can aim your teleports with nova to hit mobs on the outer ring, but will baal still mana draining I just switched to lightning. I prefer being able to kill all acts and all monsters.
