Interesting concept, but would be very difficult to do it well.

How else do you think everyone has been pricing their rings? Jsp has used exclusively this calc for ring value for years

Does not have MF = the calc itself is Charsi food

They can indicate roughly whether something is charsi or worth something, but you kind of need to understand how they're used to whats actually worth a lot vs a little.

The point system is similar. Its very possible to have 5-6 point rings that are basically charsi, while 4 point rings could still be pretty good. It doesn't really give you an fg value as a good 6 point ring might be 10k+ whereas a decent one might be 1k, etc, etc.

Also need to consider demand, e.g. common use vs niche needs, pvm and pvp use, etc. Its really difficult to calculate this without just playing and knowing whats useful and where.

Lmao. Show me where I can get this ring for under 6.7k. Might need to add a 50-60k in front of that 6.7k to get a realistic price for a completely perfect insane pvp ring like that.

Rare Ring Guide For Dummies™ (ladder)

1: Each mod on your ring (or line of text) can give you up to 1 full point. So, 6 points is the maximum a ring can achieve.

2: Give 1 full point to any mod that is 66% or higher of the maximum value it can spawn. (obviously bad mods like stamina and shit dont count)
For example, a rare ring can spawn 40 Life, so give one full point to a ring with 28+ Life

3: Give 1/2 point to any mod that is 33-66% of the maximum value it can spawn.
For example, a rare ring with 7-13 Strength would be given 1/2 point.

4: Now, just calculate each mod and count them.

3.5 points AND UNDER = 99% of time, charsi (UNLESS START OF LADDER)
4 points = usable(pvp) and sellable
4.5 points = good ring
5 points = great ring, pvpers will be all over this
5.5 points = amazing ring
6 points = top ring on ladder

I'd say the dev should remove the value calculation all together... Because this is just wildly inaccurate.



Only 11k for a 100% perfect ring like that? Even in LOD when we could get any item we wanted, a ring like this would cost 40k on the conservative end.



It wouldn't let me add the 10% Mana regeneration... But still. Price is just wildly inaccurate. Not that anyone who could get an item like this would assume it's worth so little, but it does set a bad precedent to have some newbies assume items like this are worth so little.


Also, this is the most egregious one of them all lol. Anyone who is at least a little bit familiar with melee items would know this ring would cost a shit ton.
