MLD TOURNAMENTS THREAD TOPIC

With the introduction of Patch 2.4 and with Ladder quieting down (and various other reasons haha) as well as in an attempt to further grow the Mid Level Dueling community (MLD - Level 49) I am re-starting to host weekly MLD (Level 49) Tournaments
At this time these tournaments are hosted on EU but I am not adverse to hosting events on America (weekends) based on request/demand
The plan is to host a tournament each Wednesday evening (EU) and at any other day, on request/demand provided we have the numbers. ( previously Thursdays and Saturday Evenings (EU)
The Tournaments fall under the larger umbrella of LLD101 (Low Level Dueling) which hosts regular tournaments and events for the brackets Level 9 - 49 via this site and other platforms

Rules

The rules for MLD have been designed so as to ensure that each of the 7 classes will have at least 1 build capable of winning a tournament (provided the character is built right, piloted by a skilled player and with a bit of luck in avoiding a hard counter) and the evidence for this is the results from the MLD tournaments hosted on EU over the last decade where all 7 classes competed and won. Noting the various changes between D2LOD and D2R and with changes as a result of 2.4 the rules will need tweaks from time to time and this will be dealt with as more tournaments are completed. There are several skilled players interested in MLD and able to play multiple builds and therefore the ability to balance the classes to enable each class to win a tournament is in our hands. A brief comment: We do not allow telestaffs in these tournaments (except for Ele Druid). This obviously causes problems in the Barb (or Shaper) matchup vs Sorc and this match can be considered a hard counter in this regard (But please accept that there are hard counters at all dueling brackets). I have yet to determine what (if anything) to do re: this matchup.
