ANNOUNCING THE 2ND EDITION OF THE D2R CLASSIC (pre-expansion) BVB TOURNAMENT (for bleeders & defense)

Are you ready to bet it all in the last Non-ladder tournament before the first ladder?

THIS TIME THERE WILL BE TWO TOURNAMENTS DEPENDING ON YOUR BARB CLASS:

1) BLEEDER TOURNAMENT (for the open wounds lovers)

START DATE: APRIL 23RD 8 AM - 23:59 EAST TIME

2) DEFENSE TOURNAMENT (for the more old-school nate or rcage users)

START DATE: APRIL 24TH 8 AM - 23:59 EAST TIME
PRIZES WILL BE SET BASED ON DONATIONS FROM SPONSORS, SO FAR:

1ST PLACE: 225 fg
2ND PLACE: 125 fg

REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL APRIL 22ND. If you retract your registration you have until this date to do it, otherwise your opponent will win by default. The time for this tournament is firm and cannot be changed.

Now that the basics are covered, here are the official D2R CLASSIC BVB RULES:

TOURNAMENT RULES:

- Battle Grounds: Blood Moor Act 1 Hell Mode (NA or EU or Asia depending on the participants' region) OR Inner/Outer Cloister Act 1 Hell Mode.
- Participants will duel under a 'First to 5' fashion, where the first person who wins 5 rounds will be declared the winner of said duel. Except in the finals, where the winner will be decided in a 'First to 10' match.

- If two participants come from different regions, the contestants will carry 'Best of 3' match-ups in one region (randomly decided), then in the other, until one of them wins twice. For instance, if a contestant is based in Americas and the other one in Europe, the first Best of 3 will be carried randomly either in NA or EU , then another Best of 3 will be carried in the other contestant's region, until one of them wins twice.

- No hacks/use of shrines/third party programs allowed.

- Only mana pots are allowed during the match - Participants will be provided with lvl 31 BO if they choose. Do not use more than 40 seconds to pre-bo for time purposes.

- Match starts when both contestants say 'g' or 'go' or press the 'Time to die/Die' sound button on their numberpad (#6).

- Participants will not be allowed to enter town unless their round is over (no town ww allowed).

- No level requirements, although it is encouraged to be over lvl 85. There is no level cap.

- Any elemental and poison damage is allowed in both tournaments, as long as it comes from the barb's gear. Chanting is not allowed.

- The only non-passive skills allowed are: Normal Attack, Whirlwind, Shout, Battle Orders, Battle Commands, Leap and Leap Attack. Whirlwind will be the main skill used in the matches.

- All passive skills are allowed going from Weapon Mastery, Iron Skin, Natural Resistance, Increased Stamina and Increased Speed.

- No entry fee, matches are generated randomly.

- Battle grounds must be cleaned before each First to 5 Match

- Breaking any of the specified rules above will result in a point in favor of the opponent.

- IMPORTANT FOR BLEEDER TOURNAMENT: bleeder barbs are considered as any barbs that use the mod 'open wounds', whether it comes from Swordback hold shield, gnasher axe, boneflesh, ripsaw, etc. The contestants in the BLEEDER tournament must have at least one source of open wounds to qualify. Rest of the rules apply.

- IMPORTANT FOR DEFENSE TOURNAMENT: defense barbs are considered as any barbs that do not use the 'open wounds' mod. Some setups include the use of twitch + rare/magic grim shield/pavise, rattlecage + magic/rare shield, ornate plate + magic/rare shield. The contestants in the DEFENSE tournament must not have open wounds in their gear in order to qualify. Rest of the rules apply.
