Someone has 175 Resist, 100 to counter hells -100 penalty and 75 to get to 75 Resist. They also have +0 to maximum max resist. -60 Resist makes them have 115 Resist.
Someone has 190 Resist, 100 to counterhells -100 penalty and 75 to get to 75 Resist, then an additional 15 as overcap. They also have +0 to maximum max resist. -60 Resist makes them have 130 Resist.
Someone has 190 Resist, 100 to counterhells -100 penalty and 75 to get to 75 Resist, then an additional 15 as overcap. They also have +5 to maximum max lightning resist. -60 Resist makes them have 130 Resist. And thus their +5 to maximum max Lightning Resist does nothing.
Right, I get that, simple arithmetic, right?
I guess my question is, is the tool tip misleading? For example, Let's say I have 20 into the skill, would it apply a negative -15 (or whatever number it is) to the players maximum resistance?
So, for the sake of argument, let's say a player has +1000 psn resistance with a + 10 maximum psn resistance. Then the lower resistance -15 maximum would cap them out at 70 maximum psn resistances.
