hey, so I'm not looking for smoke on this, but if classes that can use fanat, stunlock, and ignore stun have bumped up in power, and all the other classes were basically nerfed by the removal of wsg, shouldn't we really be looking at previous restrictions that were set on the classes that are hurt the most by this?

Obviously any suggestions or disagreements, whatever, any of that the floor is open, but starting with something easy- plague jav and bone wall.

Like I understand why these two things are frowned upon. But... If the new strat for these classes to survive against the buffed classes is to play defensively, doesn't it kiiiiind of make sense to give them back the tools they need to actually excel at this?

If I'm going to get locked into oblivion if they catch me as a javazon where I generally need to be a lot closer to kill my target, isn't giving me poison to stand a better chance against when I'm in a situation where I can just get locked and killed for free the right call?

If I'm playing a necro where my zoo can basically be split from me for free and I can't even wsg out and try to bone spear or TT to stack my zoo, doesn't it make sense that I have that extra defensive wall for me to try and survive against that barb that's trying to stomp me?

I know it's a little bit easy to kind of knee jerk reaction and say "oh idk this rando from west" or "oh it's always been this way just get gud" but like, what the hell, right? What are these classes supposed to do now against fanat, stunlock, and loss of wsg? It's not even a get good, it's literally just run? So why not make them better at running?

Idk, open to suggestions or disagreements. And ftr I havent spent any FG on kitting my guys out for d2r because wtf is a ber for 4k fg, so maybe I'm way off the mark compared to people living this in private and public games.

plague javalin should never be allowed

bone wall is too hard to moderate, people abuse it and it fucks shit up, easier to just force them to use bonecage. You can spam that as well.

plague javelin is allowed at level 1.

with bone prison, you have to be able to target them since name lock works half the time if that, and if you get stunned it's not like you can wsg out and try to use it as a counter. You just are perma stunned now.

Like, I don't disagree with your logic coming from D2L, but I feel things have changed and these classes are at a really bad disadvantage without WSG. Everything you're saying makes sense if I can wsg and do it. Plague jav and Bone wall can be used before you're stunned is where I'm coming from.

What are we supposed to do if they target us with mind blast? Same with barbs with leap, this just seems terrible. I don't think we should cling to things that were problematic in D2L when the answer to those players was "well look dude just use WSG better, you can counterplay it and do something that takes skill to win"

I totally agree with you. It seems that people are just stuck in "these have been the gm rules for years and change is bad". D2R is NOT D2, things need to change to rebalance pvp.

I don't want to see the same fpk builds every pvp event, open up the game for more diversity.

Take every ruleset with a grain of salt - play and have fun
Or make your own tournament / ruleset

Also fpk builds are the best B)

Haha fpk builds are cool, so hold fpk tournies for people who ONLY want fpk. Don't design an open tourney around it.

I am thinking of making my own events with a variation of the so far accepted d2r rules. I just want to spend more time in the community and keep playing to learn more about D2r pvp first.
