The Current State Barbarian-Brief
First, I will detail my setup.
Listen up, I am good friends with a former BvB Champion East (D2). I learned a lot by being around the competition, also competing myself.
Here is my current Baba setup: Drac's, Dungo's, Gore, Fort AP, Arreat's (Cham), and an EBOTD War Pike (Sexy, it reminds me of D2, back in the day), full Angelic's-no Raven. The only "end-game" changes that I would make are to switch the Fort AP to a Fort SA, and hold a Grief Zerker & SS (or a Beast Zerker for dual wielding, great against Smiters, as defense doesn't matter, and the shield doesn't matter, as they cannot be blocked). Jewels & runes would be replaced too. Of course, a Viso Helm should be considered as the primary component of any ->premo<- Baba build. But at that point, you are spending money....
Btw, I was asked, "Could your Barbarian handle Hell?"
To be completely honest, the Barbarian isn't the strongest class in the game, but they are "very" viable. And, who knows, Blizzard might buff, or nerf, some classes in the future.... Bring back the WW Barb, haha. Plus, they are very gear dependent.
.... I see too many people go for Steelrends.... Go figure. :)
PS. BvCs don't work, you would have to be a genius at teleporting, to get close-ranged with another teleporter-just my experience
Me personally i think its they best pking on diablo 2...just wait....let me explain
1. You cant hack/mod and its normaly 100 percent good manner in the privite games (hacking and mods make pking in generl fuking retarted)
2. the builds are endless!....theres so much you can do with a bvb..so many secrets waiting to be reveled.. (theres not always so much you can do with a caster)
3. For the people who say "ooh bvb is boring" lol that obveously means you never built a strong gg bvb...because if your both gg the duels get fucking I N T E N S E...(and thats coming from a dude who also duels with a 200fcr fire sorc, ele druid and bvc as well) if anything i can see zeal being boring...BVB?...N E V E R.
4. For the people who say " zzz it takes no skill" lol obveously not as much as a caster but lets see you make a solid build that can hold up againt some of the best melee duelers on the realm ...and i got some ww tactics that will make a dudes head spin.... so yes no wear near as much skill as a caster true...but it does req some skill, and most importantly patients and dedacation.
