Yes but they have evolved quite a bit since the old days. Now the melee meta is BvB, but with team support. A well equipped team involves a necro to amp the other barb and surround him with bone prison, a Druid for the oak sage, and a sin to mind blast down the opposing barb. If all goes well you should swiftly whirl the other barb down and take little damage.

is it okay to use stormshield though?

I heard they now call it fpk and its fun player killing

its team based around shield barbs melee 1v1 then the rest fight it out
