Does anyone know if a eth alma negra is a good shield for GM non tap melee duels? What about a SS or an 08 SS? Please educate me!

In your question you mentioned 2 different builds.
1 Alma negra / Eth up Shaftstop armor
2 Stormshield / Eth Rep Rare armor / Eth unique upg armors

Both shields Alma / Storm are great melee just depends what paladin build you want to create.

I’ve got a eth upd shaft stop armor but don’t have a rare eth armor. I do have a P eth upd hoz with a sod but not sure if that’s even good for dueling because of no DR or EDmg.

Eth Upg Shaft build use noneth 500def Alma negra 2sk 70%+dmg with Ber rune and Verdungos belt.

until you find rare 2sk 30/20 60%+edmg 2sox 500+ Defense shield
or until you own Bitter Badge Vortex 1000def rare

Oh boy I’ve a feeling you’d be able to teach me a lot of point me to some reading materials for some guidance? I play on US East so I’m not sure what Bitter Badge is and I’m 100% noob at melee as I’m completely new to it but really want to learn. I have some gear already but not really sure what’s good and what’s not. Just kind of picked it up thinking it may be good.
