2010 KING of BARBS Tournament hosted by GGBVB and ROK Guild of JSP

Rules:

This US WEST NL Tournament will be a 4 month event from start date of April 15th, 2010 and ending on August 15th.
Sign ups has begun, please send your Entrance Fee of 100FG with title "King of Barbs Entry Fee" to Snuffelupecus

All FG will be disbursed from Snuffelupecus when the tournament is over.

Prize distribution (FG):

Initial FG pot = 4k + all donations and entry fees which will be held by a med.

1st = 50% + Trophy
2nd = 35% + Trophy
3rd = 15% + Trophy
4th = Trophy

Tournament Rules:

This tournament is scheduled to end on Aug 15th, between the start date and the end date; everyone is expected to schedule time to duel each other at time that is best for both players.
- If a med is required, you may request one. Med list will be provided before the launch of the tournament.
- Gear check will be required.
- No eth items may be used unless it is the following: eth items Must be either, repair mod, zod'd, or zBug'd and be permanent (i.e. no unperms)
- No use of eth items that doesn't fall into the stats above (eg. eth fury BB , eth beastz, eth duress , eth arreats, eth shakos ... etc)
- Unperms are NOT allowed of any form, there will be no perming out, anyone asking for perm will automatically lose the round 7-0 regardless of the outcome of the round.
- All questionable Bugged Arreats (prior to the match) may be subjected to a clash test. Most proliferated and known Arreat dupes that are not allowed: 186/6 190/3 197/5.

The rules when dueling will be simple:

- Gear checks required if requested by the opponent prior to battle or any time between battle (Med may be requested but not required).
- Game can be requested to be 2 or 3 player game to reduce lag (this is up to the players) - no spectators are allowed unless the dueling party agrees to it.
- No going to stash, swapping of charms, or gears are permitted once battle has begun (will result in a loss of that round with a score of 7 - w/e your score is, if one is caught changing charms, gears, etc).
- No Prebuffing is allowed before the fight (One must buff while in the battle field).
- Must reset Chilling armor by rejoining or killed in game after each fight.
- No use of poison, chants or healing pots.
- No running during duel. (As a Dodging/Flee tactic).
- Must duel in Inner Colister (No dueling outside of town - unless agreed to by both parties).
- No Tmc.
- No Leap for whatever reason during the duel - doing so will cost you that fight (not the entire round).
- You must have enough strength to pick up your body without switching gear, no towning for gear pick up.
- Duels are first to 7.

The rules for forum behavior of this event and thread:

- There will be no drama postings on the thread, please keep this event GM.
- Anyone who incites drama by posting flagrant remarks and personal attacks of other players and/or opponents will be spoken to by one of the mediators of the event, second incident will result in expulsion from the event (with no refund).
- Posting should be strictly limited to posting of scores and remarks that are relevant to the thread. Let's keep this event spam free to be considerate of everyone participating in this event.
- Anyone posting excessive spams in the threads and attracting drama will be talked to and warned by the event mediator. Continued spamming of the thread will result in the individual being removed from the event (with no refund). If you have something to ask or opinions, please use PM mechanism.
- In an effort to respect every individuals right to enjoy this event, we ask that any and all feedback or concerns of the event be sent via PM to Rugzy or Hyunbomb, and should not be posted in this thread.

How to Challenge players and rules for JSP PM's:

- Check the roster, and each person whom you have not dueled should be considered available to duel.
- You have 4 months to duel everyone, and anyone can challenge each other during this period.
- Everyone is expected to remove any blocks (JSP Message or in game PM capability) during this tournament period to open up challenge and communication dialogue.
- IMPORTANT: After each duel, the winner must post score of the round immediately (within reason) - this will allow others to know who is still pending.

Inactivity:

- Everyone will have exactly the same time to duel everyone else. Failing to duel will result in a score of "0" kill and "Loss" for both players - resulting in lower overall score.
- If a player quits mid event or is unable to finish the event for any reason, then that person's score/record will be wiped clean from all other players they may have dueled and the scores will be re-calculated.
- There is no waiting to challenge each other as you can duel as many players as you can fit into yours and their schedule.
- If the other opponent does not respond to a PM by the other opponent, then he/she will be PM'd by one of the mediators for minimum 3 time options (reasonable hours for both players). If after the date and time has been set and agreed to by both parties, one or both of the player no shows, the player/s who "no shows" will forfeit the round and the score of "0" round and "0" kill will be posted for that particular match up.
- All times posted by the mediator will be in Eastern Standard Time Zone.

Official Scores:

Round = 60% of the total weighted score
Kill = 40% of the weighted score

Total Score to determine Placement: (Round Won)*60% + (Total Kills)*40% = Total Score

Top 4 finalists will be doing a final round of face off with each other to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
These scores will also be added to the total accumulated scores and re-calculated with the same weighted scoring system to determine the final outcome.
