You are expected to know and understand all the rules before participating on the ladder. Failure to abide by the rules will bring actions against you depending on the severity of the offence.

• General rules:

• Do not prebuff

• Do not precast

• Do not use poison

• Do not use slow

• Do not enchant

• Do not use healing potions

• Do not run

• Do not use item charges

• Do not use temporary items (items that are ethereal without Zod/rep mod)

• You must have enough strength to pick up your body without going to the stash.

• If an item casts a charge (% chance to cast) it can be used for the remaining duel. The player must reset without the item cast prior to beginning the next duel. (Ie: Chilling Armor

on Fort or Venom on Grief).

• Dueling/Duels:

• All duels are first to seven (Ft 7)

• Winners do not need to win by 2.

• Duels to take place at "Inner Cloister".

• "'GG" from both players to signal start of each duel.

• Gear check:

• Gear checks can be requested/performed at any time before/after a duel.

• Screen shots can be requested at any time of your inventory and screen to make sure there is no pre-buff items on hand, the use of tmc, or

other illegal performance enhancing hacks. These are to be performed immediately after the request. Both parties will use the Waypoint to town and engage in a trade screen/screen shots.

• If you run to your stash after a gear check/screen shot is called you will forfeit the duel and be banned from the ladder for hiding “BM” gear.

• If illegal (BM) gear is found, you will automatically forfeit the duel and be banned from the ladder.

• Challenges:

• When challenging on the ladder, you are allowed to challenge 1 (+1) or 2 (+2) positions above your current rank.

• You must post your challenge to the BvB thread (Ie: Challenge #XX).

• You must PM your opponent immediately after posting to the BvB thread. No PM = No challenge.

• The winner of a challenge should post the results to the BvB thread.

• The winner of a challenge has priority and is able to issue a challenge immediately following posted results.

• All scores should be accurate and posted in a Win-Loss-Tie format with the winner’s name (ie: 7-5-1, XX Wins).

• The loser of a challenge must wait 12 hours before issuing another challenge, and 24 hours before challenging the same person.

• Winning/defending a match removes any previous time constraints for re-challenges.

• Gear changes:

• You are able to change your gear 1 time during each match (1 time during the entire 7 set).

• Your gear change May include charm swaps.

• if you choose to change your gear, you stick with it for the gear for the remainder of the match (7 set), you cannot change back.

• You cannot change gear in the middle of a duel, only before/after a duel (Change it after you win or lose).

• If you decide to change your gear, make it as fast and as smooth as possible. Remaining idle for longer than 5 minutes will result in an automatic forfeit (7 set).

• Tokens are allowed and can be used on the ladder without resetting player rank.

• Tokens cannot be used during a duel (7 set), only in-between challenges.

• Dodge Rule:

• A dodge rule can be administered after 3 days by the challenger, if and only if the opponent never replied to the initial PM.

• If a dodge rule is invoked, the challenger will be awarded a win, the defender will be awarded a loss.

• If both users are active an ADMIN will make an official ruling.

• 2 consecutive dodge rules will result in automatic removal from the ladder.

• AFK’ing more than 5 minutes during a duel (7 set) will result in a loss.

• Nulled duels:

• After 3 days, a duel may be voided at an ADMIN’s discretion.

• A null duel represents an honest attempt on both parties to compete, yet was unsuccessful due to scheduling conflicts.

• Duels resulting in a Null will not be awarded a win/loss.

• If both users are active an ADMIN will make an official ruling.

• Miscellaneous Rules:

• You can have a maximum of 2 barbarians on the ladder at one time.

• You cannot challenge yourself.

• You must duel both barbs simultaneously (ie: both are able to challenge/be challenged at the same time).

• Any changes to the account or character will result in loss of ladder position (Ie: if you sell your barb, it does not come with the #1 spot).

• Extensions may be granted by an ADMIN upon request (maximum of 48 hours).

• Crown titles will only be awarded for successful wins/defends (dodges/nulls will not count).

• Current ADMINS are expected to enforce the rules.

• Inactivity:

• If your last seen status is 14+ days, you will automatically be removed from the ladder.

• If you have 2 consecutive dodges, you will automatically be removed from the ladder.

• If you are going on vacation, please inform an ADMIN.

• Vacation Status:

• Vacation status is for individuals who will be absent longer than 3 days, but less than 2 weeks (4-14 days).

• Vacation status means that the individual may not be challenged.

• You are able to duel around an individual on vacation status as if they are not on the ladder (you can challenge up to +2 above them).

• At the end of the requested vacation status, users will be available for challenging, regardless of their activity (last seen rule).

• Current Admins:

• Please reference the last BvB update for a list of ADMINS.
