WHAT is Boozie's Bowling League?

Boozie's Bowling League is a group of level 9 druids with standardized gear, skills, and stats that use the skill "Molten Boulder" in a free-for-all, last-man-standing duel resulting in pure chaos, hilarity, and endless bowling puns. Because everything is standardized, it is arguably the best test of skill; however, as you'll soon realize, sometimes the boulders just seem to keep rolling towards you and everything is out of your control, and all you can do is laugh about it.

WHY does Boozie's Bowling League exist?

Many folks that still play D2:R today are involved in their own little niche, whether it is LLD, MLD, HLD, PVM, SSF, etc. In many of these cases, these game modes can get quite competitive; in regards to mechanical skill, currency/time investment, or both. Boozie's Bowling League was created as a community for a game mode that is accessible to everyone and to remind everyone that at the end of the day, this is just a game. Competing and winning is fun; but sometimes it's also nice to kick back, relax, and shoot the shit with a bunch of friends while you are trying to bowl one another off the face of Sanctuary.

WHEN does Boozie's Bowling League take place?

Bowling games can happen at any time as long as you have 3 or more players wanting to meet up and bowl! The majority of our members are located in the NA region and are usually available during NA evenings. As our community grows, we hope to build more coverage for different time zones, but please keep this in mind if you want to participate and do not fit into the NA evening time zone.

WHO can join Boozie's Bowling League?

Anyone can join! Our only requirement is to be a decent human being. The whole point of bowling is to sit back with a bunch of friendly individuals, throw some boulders, shoot the shit, and not take anything too seriously. There are plenty of other game modes to sweat it out in. This is where you come to take a break from all of that.

HOW can I join Boozie's Bowling League?

Joining is easy! All you have to do is create a druid, get it rushed to hell, complete all of the usual side quests (Den, Rada, Bird, Tome, Izzy, Anya) for it, and level it to 9! All of the gear and inventory will be provided by me FOR FREE!
The hardest part about joining is probably making sure you don't accidentally level past level 9 during your rush and/or quests.

So really, what's the point?

The point is that there is no point! The ultimate goal of Boozie's Bowling League is to build up a large community of 'bowlers' that on any given evening a bored individual can just say "Anyone want to bowl?" and hopefully 2-7 other bowlers will join you for 30+ minutes of mindless fun. As our community grows, we can set up more structured tournaments and prizes to spice things up every now and then.

Druid Base Stats & Skills

Druid Gear & Inventory

All of your gear and inventory will be provided by me. You may only use the gear/charms that I provide for you.

Bowling Rules & Etiquette

1) You may cast any of the following skills as often as you want: Molten Boulder, Firestorm, Arctic Blast, and Oak Sage.

2) You may NOT swing your weapon or attack using 'Normal Attack'. Binding one of the above allowed skills or 'Throw' to your left click is recommended to avoid any accidental swings.

3) You must, to the best of your ability, stay within the bounds of the arena. If you accidentally click out or get pushed out by a boulder, immediately return within the bounds of the arena.

4) No potions, wells, shrines, or outside buffs may be utilized. Don't over complicate it, just run around, throw your boulders, and stay in bounds.

5) To start the match, instead of waiting for 3-8 players to say "g" or "ready", have one person volunteer to be the last person to cast their oak. The round immediately starts as soon as that person casts their oak. The winner of the previous round will be the last one to cast their oak to start the following round.

6) You must wait for the round to conclude before you may re-enter the arena after you die. If you wish to spectate the remainder of the round after dying, just stay on your death screen.

7) None of the elemental skills reduce the durability of your gear, so you will never have to repair. This means you do not need to keep any gold on this druid, which helps keep the arena clear of extra clutter (gold drops upon death) during rounds.

We have found the following areas to be the most ideal bowling spots based on the player count and a good starting point for most bowlers.

Travincal Waypoint
Chaos Sanctuary Star

6+ Bowlers
Cold Plains Entrance
Harem Level 1 Side Room

We have definitely not explored all possibilities within the game, but if you want to look for different areas to bowl in, please consider their accessibility (distance from waypoint/town) and structure (enclosed by walls for boulders to explode against) to fully maximize the bowling experience.
