Want a slightly different style of melee dueling that wont require a ton of work to participate in?
Make/build a level 90 character. Gear/stat accordingly. come duel!
My goal is to eventually have a game up for this at all times.
The more participation we get, the more we add, such as scheduled tournaments, ladder rank, prize tourneys
Rules may be tweaked if exploits are noticed.
JSP account is not required to participate
*Character level requirement = 90 (no higher, no lower)
*Characters over 90 can participate if contestants agree to duel a character over 90, but characters over 90 cannot participate in any tournaments
*Eligible Characters = Paladin(Zeal), Barbarian(Concentrate), Druid(Fury), Amazon(Jab)
*This is for Melee vs Melee character duels... each contestant will go into moore, buff, and say "go". once both players say go, its a fight to the death!
*Both characters must buff before each duel in view of the other contestant, buffing rules below
*Duels will be held in Normal Mode - to lessen the effect of any elemental damage additions through some lifted gear restrictions to standard gm melee rules
*Walk when you get into moore (turn run off)
*Contestants position east to west before duel starts
*Banned weapons
-Grief
-Doom
-any weapon with "Slows Target By %" mod
-any weapon with over +200 of any elemental or poison damage, single or combined
-any weapon that casts decrepify, weaken, or amplify damage
-any weapon with a damage aura
-any weapon that can break without ability to be repaired(all eth weapons must be indestructible, have no melee durability -phase blades and javalins- or self-repair)
*Banned equipment/equipment usage
-any equipment with a damaging aura
-Bramble
-any equipment that can break without ability to be repaired(all eth equipment must be indestructible or self repair)
-200 cap on overall combined poison damage
-400 cap on all combined elemental/magic damage on gear
-any equipment that emits Amplify Damage, Weaken, Decrepify
-any equipment with Knockback
-any equipment with "Slows Target By" mod
-Damage procs are allowed if they arent fatal to the opponent. This rule may be modified if any unfair exploits are noticed.
-no usage of charged items after the duel starts.... no debuffing opponent with charged items before the duel starts (i.e. marrowwalk lifetap charges are prohibited)
-Metamorphosis may be used if it is your equipped helmet for the duel. You may only use the buff of the form that you will be in for the duel, using both buffs at the same time is prohibited.
-Attacker takes damage of X type mods will be capped at 100 overall
-Andarials Visage CAN be used. Venom charges on helm CANNOT be used.
-You must not have any %change to proc buffs on before another duel starts
-If Chilling Armor is proc'd, you must be killed before dueling another contestant. Using fortitude is ok to that 1 stipulation
-If Fade is proc'd on a character from Last Wish or Treachery, opponent must be killed before dueling another contestant.
-Equipment with charges is ok to use.... Using the charges is NOT ok
*These duels are life-tap based.... It is optional to build a character without lifetap, but is recommended to put it as part of your build on attack or when struck, whether it be through Dracs, Last Wish, or Exile shield
*Fade proc off of last wish can be ignored if the player has 50% damage reduction throughout his gear.... Player will have to wait until it fade fades or be killed to strip buff to duel again if it doesnt have 50% damage reduction or more through gear
*No stash or cube prebuffing. Weapon-Swap Prebuff only allowed. No inventory swapping for buffs. Players must pre-duel buff in view of each other.
*No use of "charged" skills/spells for prebuff. This includes enchant.
*Character essentials:
-High Attack Rating
-High Attack Speed
-High Defense
-High Damage
-High Life
-40% or more damage reduction
-Lifetap Proc (exile, dracs, last wish)
*Some things may be tweaked as time passes!
