Man, there should be some rule implemented about the winner of a challenge being allowed to challenge before the loser.

The rule I'm suggesting to implement (in this case) would be that since I beat Kris, I would be able to challenge upwards before he is able to since him challenging over me locks me into only being able to accept challenges, and not placing one of my own.

The guy 2 spots over me is pending, so I can't challenge him, but the person 1 spot above gets challenged by the guy I just beat. Essentially Kris could end up a spot above me after just losing to me and not allowing me to progress.

Does this make sense?

Currently I have dueled Keepinithood, Nate321, and NoLove4u 3-4x each.

I literally have only dueled 2 other members on this ladder, and both are my own damn guildies!

Edit: I actually dueled Tony once too, forgot about that.

ic what you mean, would kinda be hard to keep track of that for everyone though maybe.....

but it is a good idea. should think about it

edit: maybe both members(or winner only) should post the results of the match, and the winner would have to claim his new challenge in the same post as when he posts the score. if he doesnt then the loser can claim the challenge right after.

^
i like that

I never got to make progress for the time I was between 6-8. All I did was basically defend the whole time. FINALLY when her-barbarian was about to call dodge on Dan you challenged me, and that would of been the only time I would actually issued a challange to be able to move up in a while. You just gotta wait and be patient like everyone else is doing. Example of this already happening to me. I beat xOMENx the first time, and then he wins his 2nd challenge. I loose to Tony and get swapped 2 spots down, and hes above me again. Its all for the fun of ladder, and you just gotta learn to go with it as fast as you can before someone else beats you to a challenge.

]It's not your fault. I'd have done the same thing in your situation.

What I'm suggesting is something that will prevent this from happening in the future, and will make the ladder run a bit smoother.

Nate's suggestion, however, captures my idea entirely. I think that is the best and most just solution.

I think the winner of a match posts the results and is able to place his challenge. Then the loser confirms the results and places their challenge.

In the case that the winner is unable to challenge there should be an alloted amount if time he has to place his challenge before the loser is able to challenge above him. As little or as much as the alloted time may be, I believe that's a good solution.

I would think then it would unfair that even the loser would have to wait to get 2nd picks at challenging. Right now its at first come first serve type of basis and no one has really showed much complaint. Just gotta be quick about issuing challenges is all.

I understand the concept of being quick with challenges, but it overall isn't "fair".

The time alloted for the winner to place his challenge doesn't have to be much, could even be less than 1 hour. Giving the winner the opportunity to advance first just makes the most sense.

For instance: I just beat you, but because you posted 40 seconds before me you're able to be one spot above me on the ladder without having beaten me.

This is actually how you got ahead of me again in the first place. Doesn't make sense.

would be more simple if the challenge was either called in the same post when the score is placed, or not at all. then the loser doesnt have to wait around to see if winner is gonna make new challenge or not. and mod's wouldnt have to pay attention and say you have to wait this long n such to make sure winner doesnt claim a challenge.
