overly defensive is a rule that i made for the tourney, there's no rule against that in the ladder other than camping walls/houses. some people would probably say that constant wsg+tele'ing away to pot whenever hit is overly defensive, but again no rule against it in the ladder.

you can reach the same exact damage as adapt with budget items, just need a 3 cold/3 mastery/2os orb, which i know you've had. everything else are easy magic items like 3 cold/10 fcr ammy and 3 cold/life circ. tbh making a max pierce cold sorc is much much cheaper than making a competitive vita fb with 3600+ hp. many people have made budget versions of his build, only thing they lose is some hp cause they need to compensate for non optimal items. i copied his build with a 3 cold/3 mastery/2os orb and still hit around 3300-3400 hp iirc

they lose damage and life his orb also has fcr on it opening 2 more ring slots 10% pen and 2 skills might not sound like a lot but thats the same thing as 3200 life vs 3400 life 1 hit and with that setup you lose all res since there is a cap on res inventory cant have 3/10 amulet and 3/cold/20fcr circ unless you buy rings with super high mods and tri res boots because ts hurts a lot if you have 30 lr iv tried that as well with 20/20 armor 3/20/2os circ 3/10 amulet arachs blood fist/trang gloves 3/3/3/2os wand sop you only have rings boots and inventory for res

but the boots start at 800 ffg and go up depending on how much res you need

i've done the build before, here's what i had if i remember correctly
3/20/2os circ
3/100 life magic ammy
3 cold/3 mastery/2os orb (no fcr)
100 life/4os armor
sop
trangs gloves/magefists
1x bk/soj
1x fcr ring with 20+ fr/lr on it
dual res boots (don't need to pay for gg tri res, i just had a pair of cheap 30/10/40 lr/40 fr boots that i bought for about 100 fg), had separate 30/10/40 cr boots for vs cold
arachs

same exact damage as adapt's sorc, little less hp but still beats a vita fb easily in a face to face 9 times out of 10.

most of this stuff is dirt cheap. way cheaper than what you would need to make a competitive vita fb with. decent rare ring/magic orb only things harder to find and that may cost 500-1k depending on stats.

in comparison, i think you would be hard pressed to find a vita fb sorc worth under 10k of gear (with sop excluded) on the ladder

Again, my sorc when i finally have her finished will be over 60kfg.

And thats just to reach the 3.6k health mark with average dmg.

how do you only hit 3.6k with this? i have worse items and i hit over 3.9. are you level 85?

i can only hit 3.6k using duress setup and iv spent around 15-20k on my current build spending 15k just to gain 200-300 life today as well

Ya’ll prob have more in jewels than i do at this point id assume. My stuff all just cheap there. Sorc is lvl 90 🤷🏻‍♂️

I also don't have my gspurs yet. 3.6k is a estimate. Im at 3.55k ish w/o them at the moment. Once i get them ill be able to adjust some jewels and stuff to get myself to a higher life i believe. Might be closer to 3.7
