rofl is that a copypasta from that thread too?

no I was being serious, sorry I thought we were giving our own thoughts on what classes would thrive the most in this meta now. if you were just shitposting my bad you can ignore the wall.

ok but this doesnt really answer the question
they cannot be stunlocked because they can just do an attack during the dodge animation, or the dodge animation is simply 0 frame?

they get locked by stuns and staggers but they dont get locked by evades animation

I think depending on how zons pan out, and if things like plague jav are allowed again, we might see those hybrid zons back again. i forgot the name, like i understand all zons are hybrids but theres a build that puts a lot more investment into the javelin side and uses plague javelin.

if these zons can get out of MB spam, can setup plague clouds and spam multi and ga which is largely going to ignore how the sin can escape stunlock (if anything them trying to rely on ww to get out is going to make them take more hits so mistakes are costly), poison bypassing clawblock, and have that crazy ias from faith I feel they might have a pretty solid chance against sins.

Grain of salt though, I haven't tested this just spitballing. If someone's used the more invested hybrid zons in the current meta and has dabbled with plague vs these shadow and ghost sins, i'd listen to them first.

edit: there's also just swordback hold and OW as well, but I'm not sure how viable that setup is vs a ghost or spider. This isn't me saying it's bad though- it's me saying I'm not a subject matter expert with zons.

The idea was that if classes can't wsg out of mindblast are a free kill, that if zons have a way of getting out of it and a way to chip damage by playing defensively they may be a better matchup than others.

have you fought them recently with the changes people are talking about to dodge? they're saying they don't get locked anymore. I tried to recreate it against hydras in trav. I honestly can't say for sure, I seemed to be able to escape but that's hardly a test. Was hoping maybe you had tested it currently and were saying this with new info.

If you're just saying it off old info, that's fine too- I played druid and necro mainly so if you played a sin or zon then you'd probably know better first hand. But clarifying if it was new or old would help a lot.

I played all chars and im basing it off knowing how the mechanics of the game work on d2 and d2r. Also I've seen a really good w/s sin shit on zon alrdy in d2r and the zon had no chance w.o wsg

well if you know how the mechanics in d2r work do you know what's different with dodge? or any other interesting facts about d2r pvp? there doesn't seem to be a lot of info atm so whatever you have to share would help.

There is no animation, dodge/avoid/evade occur passively, the missle/attack just simply misses.

he knows this.

my zon has a dodge animation, i tested it with trav hydras just now. it also prevents me from attacking when enough of them are hitting me.
