That's true. CWB actually posted 6 minutes too late for an extension and technically, it should be ruled as dodge.

actually it was 12 hours and 6 minutes but i wasnt really paying attn at the time I was thinking more about the Dave situation

I'm not quite sure what to do about Dave nflgo

He got a Dodge the last time he was Challenged, Then he Issued a Challenge and failed to Complete it.
Technically I guess it wasn't a Dodge since he Issued the Challenge but it still had the same outcome, He tied up the ladder and prevented other people from moving up (Myself for 1, because of his challenge I was stuck and Unable to challenge up)

To me thats like a dodge. Actually, I think it is even worse than a dodge, because he "dodged" his own challenge. Therefore, he wasted several days of his opponent's time and your time Steve, since you couldnt challenge anyone else.

that's correct, bruno.

you can't say a dodge to a player who issued a challenge.
IT's been long ago that you only attain a dodge symbol, asterisk(*), if someone issued a challenge and you have not completed it within the alloted time (where the player who is challenge did not ask for extension or has completed the challenge.

Wouldn't be ethical to call it a dodge just because it prevented a number of people from advancing.

I think there should be a 5-15 minute grace.
I recall from before people issue challenges 1-2 hours before the 12 hour grace. and this was acceptable (i can dig for posts, where i mentioned this and an admin stating it's fine, if necessary) because it's "only" 1-2 hours before the 12 hour grace some would consider it ok, but 12 hours is 12 hours and it should be enforced. However, it isn't done so in many occasions.
But being 6 minutes can't be tolerated?
Hmm...

We give them 4 days..then we decide to cance/rule it but sometimes it's 3 days depends on the problem .

mehh..on daves matchs, i don't know really..most people take avg on him. they just wait 3 days and get easy way out cuz dave usally respond like really late. e.e; people should ask for extentions with dave cuz everybody should know hes really bussy person and he's hardly on d2.
