And who the fuck might you be? Probably no one that needs to be putting their two cents here to begin with.
But reply with your 10 year old tactics and your multi account, I'll put a good word in with the meds and you wont be posting here at all ever again
6x Um Crystal Sword
2 Dex / 1-37 light SCs
All DEX with no FRW on charmsI can't wait till he joins
Let me elaborate my final input on Phoenix:Firstly, I want to say to Hepzibah:
You made a couple comments earlier that made me feel like you doubted the experience behind my input
Not sure how closely you follow the S&G/D2 Discussion/World Ladders/East PvP forums but I have also always been very active on D2 and in the d2jsp pvp community
I may take breaks from actual competition here in this ladder (mainly because running a ZvA in this ladder is very difficult) but I never take breaks from ZvA play in general
I use a perfect Phoenix in my stash as a mainstream way to kill Necromancers and Druids and I am certainly aware of everything a Phoenix is capable of
In ZvZ though, I never use Phoenix because it requires an enormous amount of DEX to maintain max block
I have tried tried setups to maintain max block with Phoenix for ZvZ but in the end ~ This is no good for a ZvA setup all around (which my Amazon is centered around, priority #1)
I know that we are talking about this ZvZ ladder, not ZvA
But I have dueled ccsutton while he used Phoenix, he was using it the last time we dueled and I have used it in ZvZ myself, plenty
Here is why I don't feel that Phoenix has any clear advantage:
* It's FBR is bad ~ Anyone using Phoenix is twice as likely to get hit during a NL string of GA or being caught in a Multi Field
* It requires much more DEX to maintain max block = less life value
* Unlike a Torch,
the Firestorm proc on Phoenix actually causes a short 2 second skill cool-down when throwing <- This is mainly the balancing factor in my opinion
When you throw and proc with Phoenix, you cannot throw again for another 2 seconds
You said that the fire proc was heavy damage while he held Phoenix out (due to the -44% fire on Phoenix)
But in my opinion, this is fair trade off for taking the risk of procing and having your throws disabled
Also further in to the Fire Res:You had mentioned that you and ccsutton were both playing at around 40 Fire Res
I know it's ZvZ and everything but I mean come on, it's played on Nightmare dif
-> Get more Fire Res
Redemption Aura:If there was a reason to ban Phoenix, this would be it
Bodies are buggy and I have also seen dead fallen laying in corners for hours when they shouldn't have been
It's not that anyone is intending on abusing this, it just happens when you aren't expecting it
All in all to sum it up:Phoenix (much like Swordback) grants increased power that comes with a risk in defensive capabilities
If you're a keen enough player to utilize and be rewarded by this, I see no reason why it should be banned other than the Redemption aura
My suggestion for new rule is -> Phoenix is allowed if both parties agree upon it's useI feel this is fair
