i do 1k-4k dmg with gmb

avg dmg(before penalty/dr) = [(1000+4000)/2] * 2[(.72)+((1-.72)*(.15))] = 3810 dmg
2500 bow dmg .762 crit+ds( i wear gores)

avg damage (after penalty/dr) = 3810 * (.52) * (1/6) = 330.2
dr = (1-.48)



avg dmg(-7 dmg from sol rune)(taken from bow dmg) = (2493) * 2[ (.72)+((1-.72)*(.15))] = 3800 dmg

avg dmg(after penalty/dr) = 3800 * (.52) * (1/6) = 329.4


in the best case scenario, the 7 dmg from sol is subtracted after the penalty's are applied, resulting in a dmg reduction of 7, thus the total dmg would be -> 330.2 -7 = 323.2


2% from ber will result in damage taken of = 3810 * (.50) * (1/6) = 317.5



so no matter what the case, ber will get you more dmg reduction, but not much. only 5 dmg after its all said and done(assuming sol dmg reduced is taken after penalty, which would be best case scenario but may not be the case)

end result - ber and sol are both terrible ideas if you already have 48%dr. pretty much any jewel would be much better

and again, shael doesnt do shit, so thats another wasted socket. imo

i don't like you guys putting these dumbshit ed/light jewels in your switch, fury whores notwithstanding. shield sockets should be for blocking, not light bolting a smiter for 10 minutes.

and stormshield is a shitty pub shield, anyway. so req on jewels isn't an excuse. :\
