Well, hold on. EU players are not in the Top 10 listed here based on the very specific stats that Stevo compiled, but the gm melee scene on d2r definitely has EU players. Off the top of my head, I know at least two that are extremely active (more so than many North American players) and are buying way more stuff than many players, and are also pretty big spenders. So, yes, you are competing against some EU bidders for items. I'm not sure about the history of EU gm melee but a very well respected player in our community is Lastsoulx , he's EU (not sure but maybe German or something :P ) and he's a wolf druid player.
Your post is completely invalidating what I said though. OK so there are not many EU players. My post was pointing more to the competition between North American and Korean players for the top items. There are just as many if not more Korean GM melee players than North American players. This is a fact that cannot be debated. And we now all have access to the same auctions & sales basically. North American players are constantly bidding against Korean players and the truth of the matter is that Korean players are simply willing to spend more, on average, than North American players. This is probably attributable to a difference in culture where it's much more accepted, normalized, and not stigmatized to blow huge chunks of $$ on video games... video games are seen as a much more respected/legitimate hobby there vs. in North America where its more respected to be a dude and dump money into your car and things like that. Leicalized isnt a good example - he's sort of an inbetween or the "bridge" between NA and other countries, but im talking straight up NA players bidding against straight up Korean players where there is no intermingling, as in language barrier, time zone, etc. prevents us from playing together/interacting but the two communities are still massively competing for items. This never happened in LoD.
Not so specific stats, its easy, there arent Europe players because players from D2Lod didnt came to D2r..
If they came, they would have Trophies from tournaments because they played in D2lod eu melee yeaaars before, there were many tournaments but are gone for years now.
Its Usa Canada again who play d2r melee..
Europe is dead man, you can see UsEast and West D2Lod players are still playing and living melee but Europe is dead... Its fact.
Players from europe probably as i said mostly are traders @ d2r and play druids, necs, sorcs, hammerdins..just normally and not melee duels.
So i dont know about Korean players so yes than its Korean Usa Canada
But again.. i dont see Korean player who is winning tournaments D2r..
Usa Canada.
But still the Core jsp UsEast is still in D2Lod so best US players stayed ofc in original D2 and those who stoped D2Lod years ago and New players came to D2r melee
and begin melee D2r.
But not Europe.
Europe player Oldschool one Bvb Aow created Aow duels topic in legit dueling so him and few of them try to plays there.
