They still need to duel because they are tied. If handsome wouldn't got banned it wouldn't be the case.

May the best win

we already voted on this issue, you cannot just come back after leaving the tournament to Austin to take over and come in and change it. And tbh we could sit here and argue over whos not happy about what outcome, but keep in mind you left your involvement of the tourney a while back. Doesn't seem very fair that you are coming back to change the outcome all of a sudden. Almost feels like its favoritism...

I'm the main host. I left Austin in charge because I had something going on.

No it's favoritism on your side. Who gave Valyrian the win and for what reason? Both have equal scores.

Valyrian vs Toyota will duel ft20, outcome will be posted.

I disagree Pavel, it was not favoritism, the decision was based on Point Differential as the tie breaker, Valyrian was a +3, he had 3 more kills than he had deaths. Jupe was an even 0, he had equal kills & deaths.

By using this formula you can determine that Valyrian had the better overall Finals round.

Using this formula is a fair tie breaking scenario, but its fine bro, it is your tourney.
Im just saying it was not favoritism, and it was a fair vote, and tie breaking scenario as voted on by the finals participants.

Just reading this,

Bosu shot me a PM about it.

First, let me clarify, I do not feel that whatever I say has any weight, as I have not been involved for some time now.

Second, if it was me, the scenario would have gone like this:

Jupe and Valyrian would not be able to vote, since they are involved.
This leaves the votes to Austin and Kris.
Austin can no vote if he chooses.
Leaving only Kris.
I feel that, after reading, Kris would have chosen that option anyhow, regardless of who was ahead in the stats category... Should it have gone the other way, Jupe would have been the winner.

With that said, the best way, obviously, would be to have them duel it out. It's been this long, what's one more week? If both parties decide to duel, let them. If they both decide to go with option two, let them. But it's been SOOOOO long, if they can't agree, let em duel it out. Being that they have participated this long and have been active, I would expect they could make some time to do a FT20 rather soon....

But that's just me and my worthless two cents....

Giving someone the win without a duel on a tie its favoritism.

I saw the final bracket both were tied 39.

It's a GM Zeal tournament, people pay to join and your just going to give someone the win by votes? Poor decision.

There has to be a final match to close the tie.

I am agreeing to the duel, it's no problem lol, im just trying to point out there was no favoritism, and nobody was "given a win" or "voted winner" it was simply a vote on the Tie Breaking procedure.

The points differential can be found in Column 3 of Challonge, the stat is determined by your Kills over Deaths, or +/- Valyrian had 3 more Overall kills than he had Overall deaths, whereas Jupe had an even amount Kills and Deaths, this shows that Valyrian had a better OVERALL Final, where he made the same amount of points that Jupe made, but did it by dying 3 less times.

That is not giving away a win, it is a tracked stat that was used as a tie breaker.

Again, i am agreeing to this final duel to determine winner, i just want to officially state for the record there was no favoritism and a real stat tracked by Challonge was used as the tie breaker....
Since there was no 'Tie Breaker' Scenario detailed in the original post I had everyone involved vote on the tie breaking scenario along with a 3rd party & Admin (Kris) as the 3rd voter.

This is the first tournament I've been on where a tie breaker resulted in a vote. If this was my tournament there's no way in hell would I allow a tie breaker end like this. Buts it's not my tournament, I'm down for a final match if there is one. Lmk.....

Again, it wasnt a vote as a tie breaker, the vote was for the tie breaking scenario.
