I dont understand why everyone is referring to what Bren does. Obviously, if he gears while his opponent is gearing and that everyone thinks its rude/bm, a rule should be made to prevent it ON OUR LADDER. As far as I know, Bren has nothing to do with the united guilds melee ladder and an excuse such as "Bren does it all the time" is ridiculous. Don't do to others what you dont want them to do to you!

With that said, I am all for a rule against gearing at the same time as your opponent, since I personnally consider it bm.

Send me ideas and suggestions, see if I can find a medium then a proposal
Also, tactical gearing was around long before Bren or this ladder existed, no offence to anyone

IF you have forgotten, bren was top 1 - 3 for more than half of the life of this ladder.

what we are saying is that why wasnt this enforced before the reset?
Why was this only enforced now that another admin experienced it?

The reason why we brought bren up is because noone was against him doing it before.
And now that he left all of a sudden it's bm to gear same time as your opponent.

I was not there before the reset so I was not aware of that. In my opinion, someone should have stepped up to Bren doing this. If I had been there, I would have said something.

1 gear 1 set. gearing at diff at and meet up finish the set. this will force ppl to improve their setup instead of defendent on luck and counter. also ur smart choice too. for the rest of the set

The reason they changed it to 1 gear per set is because people take too long to gear in between duels.
And suggesting the fact that they can't gear at the same time. or if they do gear at the same time gear at dif acts and meet in act 1 when ready is said to be a waste of time. hence the reason it got denied

The original rules dont seem to mention anything about counter-gear (gearing immediately when your opponent goes to gear). Thats the problem. It should simply be added that opponents can not gear at the same time.
