I know from experience on my ladder, that a BvB duel can take a very long time.. Especailly when you go 5-4 or 7-6 each a round, and it comes to a third ft X..

Its simply the max ammount of duels you could have without tieing on an ft7 is 39, where as on an ft5, it would be 28... There is quite the gap there..

man if u have 28 round duels you guys on east need to think of some more creative builds cause you're obviously all identical to each other :S

max of 13 duels here, ft7 one round, dont know if your doing 3x ft7's or what cause that's what your makeing it sound like.

I don't think you understand completely. We don't do first to 7, best of 3 times.

It is a race to 7 wins, so the max you will be dueling is 13 times, as one competitor will be at 7 wins at this time, in which case, he will be the winner.

We only go one round first to 7 not two rounds first to five so ours is shorter.

Yeah, absolutely...

If you look back on mine or beshs' ladder you'll see that people come out tieing often... And to be honest, im sure most BvB setups have been tried by now.. on multiple occasions i've gone three ft5s...

Still, i dont think you guys can answer my original question. Why Halo decided to go with ft7, as opposed to the traditional ft5s on the majority of ladders/tourys.

The only thing that would differ from this ladder- East- East ladder would be the ammount of Ebugged items availible..

I never said i tried them all... H/o my ladder is on page 100, and besh is on 311... Thats a lot of testing, imo...

I myself have 5 bvbs on ladder...

Edit: And we duel ft5 twice, three times if we tie. :P imo LOTS of testing.
