unplayable for you maybe, ok for the rest with at the actual state of the game, we made test both with 6 and 4k mana with and w/o % regen but u didnt looked deep i assume
from the test we made, the problem of sorc deffing is not the dmg but the sustain, we were either focusing on reduce life rep ( hard cause of build potential hoto etc ) / or do smt to the mana, the solution were reduce regen/reduce es%/reduce tk ....
because at the actual state of the game with low gear and stuff , and the average skill we got atm ( brand new game , new mechanincs, old mechs were removed ) sorc es/fb was just too abused.
at first we were all conscious there was a problem with the trapper, but sorc atm, at a standard d2r skill lvl is just too op if u play for the win.
the other solution was to focus on the overlydef part of the actual sorc es/fb players, but i dont think any of our participant meant to overlydef, it is part of how the char is, would be kinda hard in some situation
we made those rules with 5 person approval, some of these players won multiple 1v1 tour as sorc es/fb
there is no hate, sorry if it feels like that.
we are trying to make the game fair for everyone, if we put 95% precast warmth mana pots everyone will play es/fb, at least everyone that really want the win no matter what
at least in a double elimination bracket
so, to make it short, too much sorc es/fb , too much looooong match cuz of the playstyle, too much admin for overlydef rule, not balanced at actual state of game
if u guys realise we are far to have pro players here in our tour, we try to adapt the rules to make it fair/fun for everyone, this rule modification woudnt apply if it was only top end players in the tours
we tought about class adv in this rule
- necro should still lose 100% to es/fb sorc after this rule ( it was not made for the nec to win the only matchup he hardly loss )
- smite/foh doesnt rly work anymore or at least is not as efficiant as it was before 2018, it is even harder now as hdin to win this mu ( pala still has his 100% win mu vs barb tho but another story )
also there is ways to counter es sorc that our participants doesnt seem to abuse, either cuz they are expensive or because they dont even know or want to use them.
a question for this would be, should we focus on the high end tier lvl and let ppl learn by themself how to win a certain mu, or should we just give em the keys or what?
the rules we apply for this specific tour were not the same we used for the last tour and prolly wont be the next ones and are certainly not the top tier player rules
they are not our rules, they are not overall european rules, and we plan to do a lot of tours and the rules will always be evolving with the time and the metagame
maybe we are doing bad, i dont know, but just so u know , we appreciate every feedback, just keep in mind if we had to made the rules for ourself they would be different, but here we listen to everyone ( including you, but if 20 other ppl say the contrary we will prolly try new things )
i hope u got our point, we like feedback, we try to do beter for the community and the game
actually we got the winner of the 1st 1v1 tour playing
she was/is es/fb
she did play without precast and with warmth
now its gonna be the contrary, more dammage / less survability
big thanks to him for joining again and trying
Hehe too long duels very good reason, then remove charge from smiter because of those matchups where they charge directly on enemy despite everything and kill. Its too fast :)) diferent chars, different playstyle, how can someone dont understand.
