man just let us have fun with flexible rules that let everyone play the way they want to. This way there's more chance to unseat whoever is in the 1 spot, and they have to be good in a variety of dueling situations to stay there.
anything that prevents stagnation in the ladder is a good thing IMO
The only reason v/t gloves have 20% ias is to counter the holy freeze.
I think it's more about having to buy these expensive gloves only to find out there was no point. V/T's are the most flexible characters and part of the flexibility is switching between aura's, teleporting and knowing how to navigate through the duel.
I feel like removing holy freeze is just one step closer to saying let's smite one hit at a time to see who has better stats.
But like you said it's optional and so is this ladder.
